Dr. Jai Min Ryu, M.D., Ph.D., is an Associate Professor at the Samsung Comprehensive Cancer Center, Sungkyunkwan University School of Medicine. He currently serves as Deputy Director of the Office of Management and Support at the Cancer Center and Deputy Director of the Institute for Quality of Life in Cancer. In addition, he holds key leadership positions as Deputy Secretary General of the Organizing Committee for the Global Breast Cancer Conference (GBCC) and Secretary-General of the Korean Robot and Endoscopic Minimal Access Breast Surgery Study Group (KoREa-BSG).

Clinically, Dr. Ryu specializes in Robot breast surgery, axillary lymph node de-escalation in breast cancer patients, and hereditary breast cancer. He emphasizes patient‑centered surgical approaches that maintain oncologic safety while optimizing cosmetic outcomes. As a clinical researcher, he has led and contributed to numerous multicenter clinical trials and prospective cohort studies on surgical techniques, axillary treatment strategies, localization methods, and genetic testing, producing evidence that informs clinical decision‑making. Dr. Ryu is active in national and international professional societies, delivers invited lectures and training sessions, and has published extensively in peer‑reviewed journals. His ongoing priorities are multidisciplinary collaboration and the translation of research into improved outcomes for breast cancer patients.
