What is Lunch Dana?

Dana is in a language of Pali which can be translated as being generosity, charity and giving. Dana can also be performed in various way such as donations, volunteering, offering food and many more.

Do you know in the Theravada Buddhist tradition monks and nuns do not cook for themselves? According to the Buddha’s rules, they rely on the food donations so that they may continue in their spiritual practice and in turns guide us (the laity) in the Dhamma(teachings of the Buddha).
